Dubai -PermanentWe are currently looking to recruit a Patent Analyst or a Senior Patent Paralegal to be based in our DIFC office. Duties and responsibilities are as follows but are not limited to: Patent filing and prosecution of patent applications in various countries in the region and abroad, including managing, preparing, and/or filing patent applications, formality documents, responses to office actions, publications and grants, payment of official fees; processing, docketing and reporting notifications from patent offices; Managing tasks of others including patent administrators; Managing admin work such as docketing and managing internal records, managing statutory deadlines and invoices; Managing Patent Portfolios; Conducting patent searches and preparing reports/opinions Skills and experience The ideal candidate will have: Background in Engineering/ Life Sciences; 3-4 years of experience in patent filing and prosecution in a law firm; Excellent written and communication skills in English (additional languages are advantageous) Experience working in an international law firm or as an examiner in a patent office. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the Group and its subsidiaries.Responsible for preparing annual budgets with senior management and divisional managers to ensure business plans and budgets are agreed.
