Play Your Part In this role you will be responsible to motivate team members, assess performance, communicates concerns and policies amongst management and team members. As a Leader you are often to provide information to supervisors and managers or updates the company on the team's progress. Should a conflict arise, the team leader work with the team members to resolve the conflict quickly and effectively. Main Duties: - Support a group of member in an area of responsibility on a day to day basis - Act as the first point of contact of the staff members - Drives, motivates and guide team members - Manages inventories, and stock including keeping detailed records of inventory, use and sales and notifying the management on ordering when necessary - Communicating and ensuring that the team goal is met - Answers team member questions and oversees team member work for quality and compliance to policies - Carry out health and safety procedures - Lead by setting a good example. The Faculty of Engineering & Information Sciences brings together interdisciplinary academic disciplines which include the areas of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mobile Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Asset Management, Computer Science, and Information Technology and Management. The structure of the Faculty has facilitated the development of interdisciplinary taught programmes and research activity, in line with student interests, employer needs and both national and international trends. Currently, the Faculty has over 45 academic and support staff. The Faculty offers a wide portfolio of courses which includes accredited BSc/BEng courses, a full-time and part-time MSc portfolio. In addition, the Faculty offers a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) short courses aimed at practising Engineers, Technologists and Scientists.About the Position We are seeking an experienced engineering academic in the area of Asset and Engineering Management having a PhD in Mechanical/Manufacturing or Civil Engineering or a closely related field, from a recognised university. The post is offered at either an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor grade, according to experience and qualification. It is a full-time position that requires the holder to contribute to the Faculty’s teaching, research and governance activities. The applicant is expected to have teaching experience at a recognised higher education institution, along with a record of scholarly research and high-quality publications in the relevant field. Industry experience or evidence of industry-academic collaborations would also be beneficial. Academic and industrial experience coupled with research interests in any of the following areas is welcomed: * Life Cycle and Risk Management * Maintenance Requirements Analysis * System Reliability Engineering * Project Management, Implementation and Outsourcing * Asset Management * Modelling of Engineering Management Systems The post-holder will also be expected to supervise final year design projects, MSc projects and PhD projects. He/She will be expected to fully engage in scholarly and research activities within the thriving engineering team to produce high-impact research and deliver research-informed undergraduate and Master’s level teaching. The applicant is expected to have an experience of involvement in collaborative research with external organisations, and have a strong track record for the dissemination of knowledge through recent publications in high impact international journals and international conferences. As a Faculty member, you will have an excellent research track record and will be required to demonstrate research leadership from the outset. You will be expected to raise the profile of the Faculty through external networking, and producing high impact, high profile publications. In addition, you will be expected to seek to gain your own research funding to develop/expand your role within the university. They oversee the private education sector, including early childhood education centres, schools, higher education providers, and training institutes. Candidates with UAE experience can be considered, HOWEVER, not those who have inspected in Dubai -. If you have or had Senior Leadership roles, (ex)principals or vice principals or similar, Consultants etc. with inspection experience, then please apply. Positions are open to UK applicants, otherwise you must have Western experience (either academic or professional) with a strong school inspection in one of the following disciplines: UK Curriculum Early Years IB English Language Maths The inspection team will assess the quality of educational provision using the UAE nationally agreed criteria-based frameworks as a basis for making judgments on the evidence they collect of observed practice in the schools Job Responsibilities: Lead or participate as a team inspector in adherence with the UAE framework and guidelines Serve as a reference for the inspection framework to guide and assist in the gathering of evidences and judgment Inspect and collect valid evidence on the assigned performance indicators. Advise colleagues regarding specific curriculum and assessment arrangement and keep colleagues informed of developments relating to curriculum and assessments Monitor the outcomes of inspection within specialist areas Contribute to meetings and reliable judgements. Provide well-written sections for the report that address and evaluate the elements of performance indicators. Provide flexible support to ensure there is sufficient evidence to judge all performance indicators. If necessary, contribute towards resolution of any complaint or concern made by the school. Act as a mentor, as and when required, to new Associate Inspectors who have limited inspection experience. If you have other skills outside of inspection then you may be asked to utlilise these too, for example research, new policy development etc as inspections only take place between October and March.
