Play Your Part In this role you will be responsible to motivate team members, assess performance, communicates concerns and policies amongst management and team members. As a Leader you are often to provide information to supervisors and managers or updates the company on the team's progress. Should a conflict arise, the team leader work with the team members to resolve the conflict quickly and effectively. Main Duties: - Support a group of member in an area of responsibility on a day to day basis - Act as the first point of contact of the staff members - Drives, motivates and guide team members - Manages inventories, and stock including keeping detailed records of inventory, use and sales and notifying the management on ordering when necessary - Communicating and ensuring that the team goal is met - Answers team member questions and oversees team member work for quality and compliance to policies - Carry out health and safety procedures - Lead by setting a good example. The post is offered at either an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor grade, according to experience and qualification. It is a full-time position that requires the holder to contribute to the Faculty’s teaching, research and governance activities. The applicant is expected to have teaching experience at a recognised higher education institution, along with a record of scholarly research and high-quality publications in the relevant field. Industry experience or evidence of industry-academic collaborations would also be beneficial. Academic and industrial experience coupled with research interests in any of the following areas is welcomed: * Life Cycle and Risk Management * Maintenance Requirements Analysis * System Reliability Engineering * Project Management, Implementation and Outsourcing * Asset Management * Modelling of Engineering Management Systems The post-holder will also be expected to supervise final year design projects, MSc projects and PhD projects. The applicant is expected to have an experience of involvement in collaborative research with external organisations, and have a strong track record for the dissemination of knowledge through recent publications in high impact international journals and international conferences. You will be expected to raise the profile of the Faculty through external networking, and producing high impact, high profile publications. In addition, you will be expected to seek to gain your own research funding to develop/expand your role within the university.
