In addition, the Faculty offers a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) short courses aimed at practising Engineers, Technologists and Scientists.About the Position We are seeking an experienced engineering academic in the area of Asset and Engineering Management having a PhD in Mechanical/Manufacturing or Civil Engineering or a closely related field, from a recognised university. The post is offered at either an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor grade, according to experience and qualification. It is a full-time position that requires the holder to contribute to the Faculty’s teaching, research and governance activities. The applicant is expected to have teaching experience at a recognised higher education institution, along with a record of scholarly research and high-quality publications in the relevant field. Industry experience or evidence of industry-academic collaborations would also be beneficial. Academic and industrial experience coupled with research interests in any of the following areas is welcomed: * Life Cycle and Risk Management * Maintenance Requirements Analysis * System Reliability Engineering * Project Management, Implementation and Outsourcing * Asset Management * Modelling of Engineering Management Systems The post-holder will also be expected to supervise final year design projects, MSc projects and PhD projects.
