About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Technician to join Engineering in Wild Wadi Waterpark. The main duties and responsibilities of the role: Provide all of the necessary repairs and maintenance in order to preserve and improve the physical functionality and appearance of the facility Understand and follow all manufacturer and Dubai - Municipality guidelines, Jumeirah and Wild Wadi Standard Operating Procedures in order to exceed the operational requirements and ensure the guest receives the highest standards of quality and service at all times Perform water quality tests in order to maintain appropriate sanitation levels according to the Dubai - Municipality standards Perform planned preventative maintenance in order to prevent any future equipment failures Maintain appropriate records throughout the department in order to ensure the efficient flow of information Prepare requisitions for tools or materials necessary for performing specific projects in order to ensure proper repairs are achieved Perform safety inspections of all rides, ride surfaces, ride structural integrity and general building safety in order to maintain a safe environment for our guests Provide assistance for exclusive use events when needed, and to assist in the preparations of facilities for special functions, themed evenings, etc. in order to contribute to the success of the organization Report any safety concerns to management in order to maintain the highest standard of safety and hygiene at all times To completely satisfy each guest by providing a great ride experience, comfortable water temperatures and maintain overall cleanliness of the park which will contribute to the success of the organization shown in the Customer Satisfaction Index results Respond to work orders in a timely and courteous manner Provide support to the other maintenance functions of the park should conditions arise which need immediate attention; such as water damage to floors, ceilings, and walls Maintain all tools and equipment in good repair and working condition Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors This job requires exerting 25 to 50 kilograms of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 kilograms of force frequently. Play Your Part In this role you will be responsible to assist the engineering Shifts that operate within the rides engineering department. You will manage the, statutory inspection of all attractions, associated equipment, park motor vehicles, mechanised plant and ride buildings via the application of a planned preventative maintenance approach with the aim of maximising ride and equipment availability and safety in operation. The role calls for strong leadership skills and an ability to clearly focus on the planning & preparation of the activities administered by the engineering teams, throughout the operational season. Main Duties: - To work as operational engineer carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance and ride start up procedures - To lead teams of engineering personnel during park operation in order to provide an effective breakdown service that will facilitate excellent ride availability and safety for our guests and staff - To lead teams of engineering personnel in order to administer the PPM and safety checks in line with company procedures - To assist the engineering management team with all aspects of the daily running of the engineering department. All with the aim of maximizing ride and equipment availability and safety in operation - To assist the department's managerial team and charge hands as and when required in order to fulfil the department's KPI's, objectives and function - To ensure written documentation relating to pre-opening checks and maintenance works are accurate to reflect changes in procedure. To ensure that you complete PPM documentation in a timely manner in line with department procedures - During the low season period you will carry out Annual Strip and Annual Maintenance programme in order to facilitate PPM and a thorough annual inspection of all attractions by an external body, all in order to obtain a Non Objection Certificate (NOC) to the agreed deadlines - To have an active role in the development of the annual strip down plan - To undertake additional responsibility as directed by the department management team following appropriate instruction/training - To maintain and keep in good condition the tool's provided to enable professional and competent completion of maintenance tasks - To develop professional and considerate relationships with both internal customer departments and external suppliers and consultants Requirements Are You a Star?
