Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Obtains clinical histories , conducts physical examinations, and obtains tests related to area of specialization. • Develops implements and evaluates patient’s plan of care. • Counsels and advises patients on issues related to specialist area. Evaluates effectiveness of interaction. • Participates in holding nurse led outpatient clinics. • Provides patient education and is involved in health promotion programs.Is involved in developing patient education material. • Documents all relevant information correctly, appropriately and in a timely manner. • Reviews evidence based medicine protocols to guide treatment choice and standards of patient care. • Act as an advocate for patients and families. Collaborates with physicians regarding diagnostics and treatment options. • Contributes to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction . • Participates in staff orientation aimed at developing competence and performance. Job Requirements and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse with country specific post registration program required. • Current Registered Nurse licence from country of origin required. • Four years of related hospital experience in an acute care setting including one year specialty experience required.
