Dubai -Job Purpose To lead and ensure documents and processes related to the management of the Health segment are respectively edited and established according to the business needs encompassing any legal aspects. To review and update guidelines and business documents like Standard Operating Procedures through various units of Health segment to ensure proper governance and controls are in place. To maintain relationship with local and Regional Health authorities as required and coordinate on various regular and ad hoc regulatory requirements. To drive and coordinate on all activities related to Compliance, Controls, and Audits- including both internal and external. To support the Unit in achieving its overall objectives. Main Accountability: Overall responsible to ensure that all documents used in the healthcare segment are in line with the business requirements and strategy in all countries, operated through AXA Gulf. It will be necessary to lead and coordinate actions with all main stakeholders being the Corporate Offering department, the Network department, the Sales & Distribution department and the Production / Operations department. To ensure that any legal aspects are met by the company with regard to both its healthcare documentation and its processes. Full knowledge of the local and Regional regulations (i.e. DoH, erstwhile Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, DHA Dubai - Health Authority), the CMA, CBB, the Qatar Financial Centre, etc) will be necessary. Establish and maintain relationship with local health regulators and regional health regulators as required. To ensure proper controls and governance is maintained through all units of Healthcare; To ensure all regulatory updates locally as well as regionally are shared with stakeholders and a proper database maintained for access by all stakeholders for any future reference To ensure proper support is provided to stakeholders in understanding various regulations and circulars issued by various regulators impacting Healthcare. To ensure confirmation on compliance is obtained from all stakeholders in case of any regulatory changes announced impacting their areas To act as a Single Point of Contact and coordinate in activities related to compliance, audit and any control and/or risk assessment in any Unit within the Health EB team Maintain a centralized data base on – All regulatory updates All guidelines, Standard Operations Processes and Governance documents related to all units; Maintain a structured training calendar to impart training on regulatory updates to all stakeholders- both regular and adhoc based on request from Unit Managers. Market intelligence and Group positioning: Develop systematic market and business intelligence by: Gathering useful intelligence on the local health regulation evolution; Projecting, Identifying, and anticipating market legal environment changes, threats & opportunities in specific countries of the region; In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, competitors’ strategies, products and offerings in perspective of the legal environment. Regulation: Ensure that AXA product offering terms and Conditions are in line with local regulations and safeguarding companies’ interests; Attend local regulators sessions to insure the company is strongly represented, speak on behalf of the company; Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Extensive knowledge of healthcare products and operations in the Gulf Region; Expert knowledge of Local Regulations affecting the Healthcare segment; Good knowledge of the healthcare Insurance market trends and behaviors; Has completed Bachelor Degree major in Legal or in any related field. Master Degree in any field and / or additional Insurance qualification are an advantageous; At least 7 years experience in a Healthcare Insurance industry plus experience working in legal, compliance, risk or in audit field.
