Location Dubai -, United Arab Emirates Engagement 1-year contract, full time Department Compliance, Forensics & Intelligence Manager Associate Director/Director Job Purpose Providing worker welfare consultancy support and risk management advice to our clients in the Middle East region. Applying worker welfare expertise as part of a project team to complete monitoring activities, including accommodation inspections, company inspections, and worker interviews. Tasks and responsibilities Supporting the delivery of current labour welfare engagements by: Undertaking monitoring activities, which may include; worker interviews, company inspections, and accommodation inspections depending on professional experience Report writing and presentation of findings Attending and presenting at client meetings Reviewing and updating project delivery methodology Undertaking ad-hoc investigations into sources of worker welfare risks Associate Consultant Worker Welfare Team Monitoring external worker welfare and human rights developments; providing internal and client updates on current developments on a weekly basis Preparing and presenting research papers to support the development of worker welfare risk management business Management of internal and external stakeholder relationships Knowledge and experience Minimum of two years’ experience in compliance auditing (financial, social, internal) or consultancy in a similar field, preferably in the Middle East Experience in identifying control weaknesses within a company’s operations and recommending remediation measures Preparation of detailed reports for clients with presentation of findings Track record of successfully delivering reports on time to a high quality Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work in a team and independently A keen interest in worker welfare Background in worker welfare and human rights preferred but not essential NEBOSH and IOSH HSE qualifications preferred but not essential Knowledge of UN Guiding Principles and ILO conventions and understanding of worker welfare issues in the GCC preferred Qualifications and specialist skills Graduate degree in a relevant subject area Proficient IT skills Fluency in spoken Arabic, Hindi or other South Asian languages preferred Competencies Determines or knows field of own decision making, knows when to escalate or not Shows drive and determination to achieve high standards Works with colleagues in a co-operative and supportive manner to achieve joint aims Meticulous attention to detail Disciplined time and task management A deep understanding and application of risk management Track record of deploying analytical techniques to solve client problems Strong written and oral communication Well-developed interpersonal skills Confident in approaching and dealing with clients Behaviours All employees are expected to display behaviours reflective of our company values: Integrity and Ethics Collaboration and Teamwork Commitment to People Professionalism and Excellence How to apply If your qualifications, experience and aspirations match our requirements please email a covering letter and C.V, stating your current salary to: [email protected]
