Reservoir Geologist - Spark Maintenance & Oil-field Services Establishment-Abu Dhabi
Abu DhabiJob Description : Collect geological, petrophysical, geophysical, reservoir engineering and operational data obtained by Operation Geologists, Petrophysicists, Petrographers, Geophysicists, Reservoir Engineers, Petroleum Engineers, Drilling Engineers and the Laboratory, sort and analyze the information to conduct construction of conceptual geological models (facies and structure), reservoir characterization including reservoir layering, well to well correlation, reservoir rock typing and geocellular static modeling. b.) Build geocellular reservoir models (static models) including structural/stratigraphic framework, reservoir layering, distribution of reservoir rock-type, porosity, saturation, permeability using state-of-the-art software and advanced technologies, and maintain and update them using the most recent additional data to allow for optimum resource management and hydrocarbon recovery from all reservoirs in line with the Field Development Plan and reservoir uncertainties. c.) Have good experience in fracture description and modeling, seismic interpretation, attributes extraction and analysis. d.) Check all geological data (e.g. core and log measurement), and classify and file accordingly. Input appropriate data on the computer to ensure the maintenance and update of files. e.) Carrying out studies on the evaluation of field reserves and synthesis studies to identify the geological characteristics of the reservoirs and capable to participate actively in the reservoir simulation studies (history matching and predication process) f.) Plan exploration/appraisal/development wells and prepare well proposal/prognosis (WOP document) in cooperation with other disciplines and follow up drilling operation & well site geoscience activities. g.) Able to work in multi-disciplinary team and have good communication and reporting skills. h.) Provides input for strategic reservoir geology data gathering and overall QC of geoscience data. i.) Act for Operation Geologists on sites, whenever needed. j.) Contribute actively to the Emiratization process by participating in training and development of young UAE engineers in Reservoir Geologist issues. k.) Work in line with Company HSE Policy and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations. Minimum Criteria : Sc. in Geology or similar discipline. b.) 6 years broad geological experience in the oil industry with knowledge of log analysis and interpretation, carbonate rocks, asset evaluation, reservoir modeling and geological operations. c.)
