Organization Overview We are HEMAR team of Janssen supporting the GCC region, with teams based in Dubai - and Riyadh, we collaborate cross functionally to drive the organization access agenda and ensure patients access to Janssen’s innovative therapies. GCC countries are: KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman Summary of the job: Build HEMAR (Health Economics, Market Access and Reimbursement) GCC strategy for designated TA (Therapeutic Areas) with support from HEMAR director. Develop and execute strategic market access plans for designated TA to achieve the HEMAR department and overall company’s objectives. Lead and support TA Market Access team across GCC and ensure team capability development. Build necessary tools to support the strategy (including value dossiers, economic models) and data generation plans in collaboration with HEOR Lead GCC. Represent GCC OpCo (Operating Company) in EMEA HEMAR functional networks and ensure GCC region inputs into EMEA market access plans. Work in collaboration with cross functional teams internally (GCC, Emerging Markets and EMEA) and support CVTs (Country Value Teams) to develop timely and robust market access strategies and plans. Ensure earliest and optimal patient access to Janssen’s innovations in therapy areas under his/her responsibilities. Lead and work closely with key sectors /centers in his/her geographic area to understand and elicit the Market Access/Reimbursement requirements and to propose and implement the necessary strategies and actions to address these requirements. Develop products’ KVM (Key Value Messages), value proposition, economic tools in meeting the needs of local partners through proper communication. Duties & Responsibilities In depth knowledge and understanding In depth knowledge of disease(s) area and product(s) information under his/her responsibilities and analysis of local & int’l treatment pattern & unmet needs. Develop an in-depth understanding of the local market, unmet need and competitive landscape. HEMAR tools development and adaptation. Identify data gaps to support product life cycle and develop local plans in collaboration with EMEA team to support data needs. Work cross functionally with CVT to share key insights, support strategy development and execute on in-line and future products/indications plans and activities. Training and knowledge of Health Care Compliance SOPs Stakeholders landscaping, building networks and partners engagement Mapping of key stakeholders and thought leaders involved in policy shaping, drugs evaluation, listing and reimbursement in disease areas under his/her responsibilities. Understand unmet needs of key partners including prescribers, patients, and payers and develop solutions to meet their needs. Engage with and visit partners following health care compliance guidelines to meet the needs for patients’ access to products in geographic area and disease area of responsibilities. Create disease awareness for brand-value communication Develop/locally adapt EMEA/global Health Economics models supporting the brand value proposition & product value story. Review & local adaptation of products’ value dossier, evidence-based differentiation strategies. Tailor KVMs to meet partner needs to optimize market access. Create partner awareness and communication about burden of illness unmet need and product value proposition. Collaborate and build long-term partnership with key internal and external partners. Identify local data generation needs related to your TA and work closely with HEOR manager to generate value-based projects /publication that create new value in healthcare Development of local market access strategy Lead the development -in collaboration with the CVTs and with input from the HEMAR Director-of robust strategies to support optimal market access. Map current & future market access environment and analyse key drivers for market access. Regular review and where necessary update of MA strategies as a result of policy changes, competitor insights etc. and provide periodical report to HEMAR director on horizon scanning. Team leadership Drive efficiency in proposing the best resources allocation and team structure Lead HEMAR team members assigned to the TAs (therapy areas) of responsibility across GCC to develop and execute market access strategies and tactics. Develop and mentor newly appointed Market Access team members. Support regional talent development programs. Budget planning Engage with CVTLs (Country Value Team Leads) and communicate all market access and health economic related activities (budgeted/non-budgeted) for the upcoming year to support Business planning. Training Provide health economic and value messaging training to the different field support teams as and when required. Support HEMAR Director to communicate the role of market access internally and externally through presentations and workshops. Support the identification and execution of health economic related training needs by external partners. Partnership working Identify partnership opportunities with local health authorities in collaboration with Government Affairs Department and other internal partners. Pricing Work in partnership with the Pricing and Tender planning team and HEMAR Director to ensure that robust pricing strategies are developed in alignment with the local teams to achieve optimal pricing. Build pricing business cases in collaboration with Pricing and Tender planning lead GCC Secure GCC and EMEA pricing committee approvals of developed pricing business cases related to your TA. Main performance measures (Performance Goals) Ensure timely access to hospital formularies and Private Health insurance plans. Positive reimbursement decisions at national and subnational level. Devise for innovative solutions to overcome access barriers. Drive the debate towards a much more favorable environment for access to innovation. Qualifications Relevant university degree in life sciences, A post graduate university degree in Health Economics/Epidemiology/Public Health/Health Policy/business administration is advantageous. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or in a payer environment preferably in a health economics and market access related function. Technical/Functional Skills Required Related market access or health economics experience working in pharmaceutical industry or health sector is critical. Previous experience in Immunology Therapy Area is preferred. Knowledge of health economics, outcomes research, management entry agreements and economic modelling is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels within the pharmaceutical industry to include senior health professionals, government figures and board members with an ability to verbalise and write clearly and effectively. Demonstrable ability to communicate technical and economic concepts and approaches to non-technical partners. Demonstrable excellent numeric and, analytical skills together with good MS Office skills. Ability to adapt economic models to local needs. Description The Clinical Product Specialist provides distributor and end-customer clinical applications support, product training/demonstrations (in-service) and promotes marketing efforts, communications and internal/external educational programs for all Devicor Medical Products, Inc. products primarily in EMEA region but with overlap/back-up coverage in other regions as needed. Individual will actively work to ensure distributor strategies and growth efforts align with internal objectives and targets of the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES) Clinical Product Support Maintains thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of all Company products and competitive technologies. Must be able to Works closely with distributors, physicians and technologists to increase procedural knowledge and product satisfaction in multiple settings including at customer clinical sites involving patients. Provides full product support related to clinical applications, product operation, functionality, and troubleshooting. Is able to demonstrate and provide in-service training. Responds to customer and distributor needs and concerns to resolve issues quickly and professionally. DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience with Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy and/or radiology imaging equipment preferred. Additional language skills applicable to region highly preferred (e.g. German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic). EDUCATION Associate’s degree or local equivalent required. Extensive professional or clinical experience working with comparable technologies within a clinical environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences preferred, but not required. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to travel a minimum of 60% of the time; travel requirements may require up to 80%. International travel required primarily throughout Europe.
