About the role: An opportunity has arisen for a Head Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage Service Team in Zero Gravity. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Ensure maximum usage of all supplies to attain budgeted beverage cost and to prevent waste Anticipate the guests' needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency Perform all opening, closing and nightly duties Take orders for beverages from guests and deliver beverage orders promptly Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known, and encourage them to return Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas Assists the department head with the training/mentoring of new employees as requested Maintains all assigned wardrobe/costumes/uniforms and appearance in accordance with established uniform guidelines Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times Bottle service sales need to be driven through smart and friendly upselling technique Initiate conversation with guests, inquiring about their satisfaction Adhere to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state. Participate in modelling and promotional programs on the beach or in Zero Gravity Events Communicate with staff and managers regarding guest requests Perform all other job related duties as requested Would be required to participate on the beach Parade 2 days in a week Recognize and acknowledge when Guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated Monitor potentially intoxicated and/ or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a Manager s attention Refuse further service of alcohol to intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner Responsible for accurately checking Guest identification Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Educated to secondary level At least 2 years event management and customer service Bar and Restaurant experience Fluent in English, additional language are desirable especially Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, German, French Must have an excellent administration, communication, time management and organizational skills Capable to multi-task and strong attention to detail Knowledge on Food and Beverage applications (Epicure, Micros) About the benefits: This position offers a highly competitive salary and package which includes: fully furnished shared accommodation, free transport to and from your place of work, uniform, laundry services, meals during working hours, bi-annual flight allowance, medical coverage, life and accident insurance.
