Dubai -Job Details Description Milliman, one of the world’s largest actuarial consulting firms is looking for an Actuarial Associate to join the Employee Benefits practice in Dubai - that supports clients across the GCC region . The Actuarial Associate will support the consulting actuaries in the team. The Actuarial Associate will also play a role in managing client relationships and will be expected to handle a range of tasks/projects independently. Milliman will encourage and support the associate in his/her path to become a fully-qualified actuary. Educational requirements An undergraduate degree pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work, A minimum of 6 actuarial exams with a recognized professional actuarial organisation Outstanding academic record Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint etc.) Working knowledge of computer programming (preferably SAS or SQL) Experience and skill requirements Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably in health-related work Superior math aptitude and strong analytical ability Experience with SAS and SQL is essential Experience with reserving and pricing techniques, preferably for health insurance products Working knowledge of actuarial concepts specific to health systems, such as utilisation vs cost, clinical coding systems, Diagnosis-Related Groupers, value-based healthcare etc Excellent communication (both written and verbal) Good organizational skills Willingness to learn Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to work under pressure Qualifications Behaviors Required Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest Motivations Required Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help Education Preferred Bachelors or better.
