Dubai -Job Summary: Responsible in tracking and managing patient cash flows, credit, and insurance payments, while also assisting reception staff with patient booking and in-clinic coordination. Cashiers should issue cash refunds / receipts, invoices to patients. At the end of their shift, they must balance the amount of money they have taken in with the total sales recorded. They will also verify Insurance and Corporate contractual obligations. Job Responsibilities: Cashier while receiving payments must run and reconcile cash balance at end of shift on a daily basis. Cashier will resolve all discrepancies and report errors to Billing Supervisor or Head Cashier. Verify the insurance related details mentioned in the system with the physical Insurance Card. Cashier to ensure that proper co-payments have been collected from the patient, as mentioned in the Insurance Card. Check for eligibility, limits and credit authorization letters in the case of corporate clients. For corporate clients check for covered and uncovered treatments. Coordinates with the doctors, nurses and other staff for the accurate billing of patient Perform assigned administration and Maintain invoice records and support documents. Evaluate, analyse and verify dates of service and billed amounts, completeness and accuracy in client information before billing period, verify billing information accuracy and revise errors and finally verify and assess all bills before processing. Implement quality billing practices and procedures. Answers questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies. Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints. Responsible for collecting payments only in the accepted payment modes as per the hospital policy. Responsible for accepting only accepted foreign currencies, as per the daily updated foreign exchange rates. A receipt should always be given to the payee when you accept money. If the manual form is used, they should be used in sequence, and the cash-handling employee must sign or initial each one. The receipt should contain information about the sale or payments, including: Total amount due, Amount received, Amount of change given, if any, and Method of payment (cash, check or credit card). A void is the immediate (same business day) cancellation of a transaction and return of any funds received. To process a void: Obtain the original receipt from the customer (all voided receipts must be retained). never return cash instead of reversing the credit card transaction Document the void authorization, including: Amount voided, Signature of void issuer.
