As a step towards strengthening their Regional R&D for Floor Coatings, they are looking for a Senior R&D Chemist who will contribute to the profitable growth of their Concrete Floor business in MEIA region. This role will be based in Dubai -, UAE, and caters to the Middle East, India, Africa markets. The successful candidate will report to the Regional R&D Manager- Protective Coatings. The new Senior R&D Chemist will have a key role to develop and maintain Floor Coating products, and at the same time secure the technology competence development required for succeeding in our ambitious strategy. Job description: Lead the development of floor coatings products and solutions, in alignment with the defined ambition and strategy. Utilize own expertise within floor coating technology. Collaborate and align with other company R&D laboratories while working on projects. Transfer competences within and across departments and regions. Take the lead in terms of technical competence development for floor coating products. Have formulation and technical responsibility for products through development and maintenance. Travel approx. 25 days. Qualifications: You have a higher Education Degree in Chemistry/Polymer/Paints. Strong knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry. You have wide Floor Coatings experience in areas such as car parks (commercial and residential), industrial manufacturing (Food & Beverage, electronic, pharmaceutical etc.) and infrastructure (airports, hospitals, schools, transportation & railways, stadiums etc.) Technical expertise in epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea, polyaspartics, cementitious, water-based technologies for floor coatings. Experience with self-levelling, non-slip, anti-stain, maintenance/repair, membranes, cementitious, antistatic/conductive, hygiene, decorative, 3D, terrazzo body coat is expected. Knowledge about floor coating system recommendation, application techniques, product demonstration, complaint handling and overall Floor Industry.
