Dubai -ContractDuties & Responsibilities: 1.Able to do transfer / collection of materials to / from ships.2.Maintains proper storing of material at Ships.3.Carries out critical analysis of stock position of various items and co-ordinate with Chief Engineer and Chief Officer to order items which are reaching to re-order level.4.Ensures about the safety measures and precautions for stores handling.5.Responsible for issuing items as per approved purchase requisitions.6.Responsible for logging all the items sent for repair and its reconciliation.7.Follow-up of all pending purchase order from suppliers.8.Assists in maintaining updated records of items stored in the Ships9.Quarterly stock counting of all stores.10.Maintaining of proper Vessel Fixed Assets Register11.Quarterly counting of all Fixed Assets12.Reporting of Daily activities to Assistant Depot Manager.13.Any other duties assigned as and when by his superiorGeneral Requirements: a.Level of academic qualifications:-Secondary School education or equivalent-Valid STCW Certificates-Good English communication & PC skills-Knowledge of marine and communication equipment shall be an advantageb.Specialized training, specific equipment course, memberships, etc.-Familiar with material handling procedure and equipmentc.Experience-Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar capacity onboard vessels.Job Type: ContractExperience:stores assistant in vessel: 3 years (Preferred)
