About the Role: An exciting role has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Barista to join one of our pre-opening restaurant team here FLOW DIC. Your key duties will include: Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies. Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks. Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products. Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks. Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Is able to confidently serve customers as per the brand standards Looks for ways to go above and beyond the customers’ expectations Has full knowledge of all products and is able to confidently describe to a customer Is able to prepare all beverage items as per the standard recipe Has a full understanding of the brand concept, history and vision and can explain when asked Has completed basic food hygiene. Dubai -Play your part Purpose: To maintain the outlet/cart in accordance with all the mandatory, statutory and local laws and requirements in the storing, handling and selling of food and beverage items from the outlet and all other related duties. To adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures of the Department and perform duties as per the job description Main Duties: Handling cash, credit card and discount transactions with the assistance of a POS (Point of Sale) register. Verifying a starting bank and completing a daily audit report when balancing the drawer at the end of the shift. Take all food and beverage orders as per Standard Operating Procedures. To be fully knowledgeable of the products sold in the outlets/carts in order to respond to the guests enquiries and maintain guest satisfaction. Greeting guests and suggestively selling menu items in order to increase revenue.
