The hospital was named as one of the top 100 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the first ever such ranking organized by the Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders (SME), an agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED).American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital is looking for a CSSD Technician to be based in American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all managerial function of CSSD.Establishes and ensures the implementation of CSSD policies and procedures.Ensures instruments and equipment are cleaned and decontaminated according to established guidelines policies and procedures.Directs and supervises activities relating to the operation of washer/disinfectors and other related equipment.Ensures instruments sets are standardized, sterilized and in good working condition according to hospital policies and procedures.Prepares duty rotas, assigns tasks and duties of CSSD staff.Develops and coordinates with the Education Department in the orientation of new staff according to orientation program and hospital policies and procedures.Assesses CSSD supply needs and establishes a standard CSSD inventory.Monitors documents and reports effectiveness of sterilizers.Notifies appropriate departments of malfunction of equipment or lack of supplies.Develops, coordinates and participates in routine educational programs and staff meeting to facilitate professional growth and quality patient care.Monitors compliance with policy and procedure.Coordinates with the PI Nurse for any PI activities.Any other assigned responsibilities on a need basis as identified by the Nursing Administrator.Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirementsWork accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilitiesBe familiar with emergency and evacuation proceduresNotifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reportsComply with Waste management procedures and policiesAttend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programsUse of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systemsQualificationsDHA/DHCC licenceNot Less Than 2 years experience in sterile services (CSSD) field; in a health care environment AND Current knowledge of CSSD systems management, quality assurance and procedures. Job Responsibilites Develops and executes marketing strategies through collaboration, planning and influence. Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, regulatory requirements, as well as industry trends. General Qualifications A comprehensive understanding of cardiac rhythm management technology, heart failure therapies within medical device industry or pharma. Team leadership and development skills Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent and typically four plus years of progressively more responsible sales experience, including experience with medical devices. Working knowledge of domestic regulations relative to the medical device or pharma industry. A demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices; ability to work with and direct others effectively; ability to prepare and present strong written and verbal communications; and familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures. Documented record of delivering sales/marketing information which adds value to management's decision making process. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives. Demonstrated verbal and written communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
