The position will be a 6-12-month extendable contract to be based in Dubai, UAE. The candidate must have ITS knowledge, hands on technology experience and great communication skills with the ability to hold C-level discussions. Candidates with a transport industry background is preferred.The Data Scientist must have the following skills:10 years of experience in the field of Data ScienceMaster’s in data science/Statistics/Computer Science/Mathematics or any similar fieldExperience with common data science toolkits - R, Python, MatLab, Weka, NumPy.Understanding of machine learning techniques - k-NN, SVM, Naive Bayes, Decision ForestsExperience with data visualization toolsExperience with Hadoop and BigData management technologiesExperience in designing and developing BigData ModelsDeveloping and maintaining the models on Data Lake, Group BigData CloudDeveloping and delivering rapid software prototypes preferably using PythonDesigning and developing methods to consolidate, analyze and handle large scale dataWriting and delivering production quality code across enterpriseIdentify questions and issues for data analysisIdentify meaningful insight from large dataDevelop market "mash-up" by combining internal corporate data and applications with externally sourced dataIdentify and recommend analytic toolsThe candidate must be an exceptional listener and communicator to have a C-level discussion.Job Type: ContractExperience:data science: 7 years (Required)Education:Master's (Required)
