Specialist/Consultant - Dermatologist

Job Description:

DubaiProviding clinical and cosmetic dermatology care to assigned patients according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times. Clinical consultations and physical examinations of patients. Participating in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the dermatology service. Participating in activities and opportunities to promote the dermatology service. Required to be involved in non-clinical hospital / unit matters and the care of any patient when required. Responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the clinic and regulatory authorities. Adhere to a high standard of clinical consultations and physical examinations. Ensuring patient care or treatment is delegated to a suitable qualified, experienced individual with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide the care or treatment involved. Job Requirements MBBS / MBChB or equivalent from a recognized medical school. Higher specialty certificate (membership / fellowship or equivalent) or specialty certificate equivalent to Master Degree recognized by Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Certification of higher professional education: MRCP plus CCT in dermatology, or American Board Certification, or FRCPC, or FRACP, or Arab Board Certification. Minimum of 10 years’ experience since gaining higher qualification. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Western setting (desirable). Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education. Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of dermatology, including cosmetology, laser therapy. Personal and leadership skills appropriate for a highly functioning clinical team. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other staff. Fluent in Arabic is essential.
