Speech Therapist - -Dubai
Dubai -To independently assess and manage disorders of communication and swallowing in adult clients within acute and sub-acute hospital settings. Demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise and employ Evidence Based Practice in Speech Pathology assessment, treatment and education. Provide Speech Pathology leadership, supervision and staff development for multidisciplinary teams. Plan and manage Speech Pathology resources. Formulate Speech Pathology policies, procedures and guidelines in consultation with the Head of Department. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Job Requirements Bachelors/Master’s Degree in speech language pathology/ therapy from an accredited educational institution, college or university. Minimum of two (5) years’ experience post certification in Speech Therapy in a hospital or clinical setting. Valid DHA license is a definite advantage. A current license, registration, or certificate to practice. Demonstrated proof of a license from the applicant’s country of education. A certificate of good standing from each country where the applicant has held or currently holds a license to practice. Competent to independently assess and manage adults and paediatrics with disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, learning disabilities and dysphagia within the acute and sub-acute hospital settings. Competent to assess and manage patient with tracheotomy tubes including the use of speaking valves, dysphagia assessments and weaning protocols.
