Procurement Support Officer - Saa Technical and specialized-Dubai
Dubai -Registration / Pre-qualification of vendors and contractors and Maintain Commercial Directory
Act as the focal point for access the Commercial Directory; identify and report any issues with access to the Commercial Directory and take appropriate action as directed by the Purchasing & Procurement Support Manager or the Senior Manager - CPD.
Identify works/services and products for which there aren't enough number of qualified bidders in the Commercial Directory and initiate pre-qualification exercise
Act as the focal point for registration and prequalification of contractors and suppliers who are not already qualified in the Commercial Directory.
Coordinate the prequalification process with bidders and end users, compiles prequalification reports and initiate recommendations for approval by the
Prequalification Committee
Maintain and update the database of contractors and suppliers qualified by AD Ports in the Commercial Directory
Assist CPD Contracts Specialists, Procurement Support Officers and Purchasing Officers by providing bidders lists reports for works/services and products
Compile inputs from the CPD Managers and End Users on the performance of various vendors / suppliers / contractors, shortlist the worst performing vendors / suppliers / contractors and initiate the recommendations for blacklisting
Initiate recommendations for re-assessment of vendors based due to changes in performance, capability or time elapsed
Procurement and Contract Administration for Minor Contracts
Examine scope of work for completeness and consistency
Prepare comprehensive ITT packages
Perform evaluation of unpriced commercial aspects of the technical bid and evaluation of commercial bid
Perform contract administration activities - bank guarantees, insurances, invoices, etc.
Provide contractual advice to End Users and prepare contractual correspondence
Review and evaluate variations and claims, prepare recommendations for approval of management and prepare contract amendments, as required
Perform close-out of contractual matters upon completion
Perform other relevant functions in the Corporate Procurement Department as assigned by the Purchasing & Procurement Support Manager and/or Senior Manager - CPD.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business Administration
Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred
3 - 5 years of experience in procurement support & contracts function
1 year of experience in similar industry is preferred
Purchasing: 1 year (Preferred)
Procurement: 1 year (Preferred)
