Role & Responsibilities: 1- General : Accounting: a- Manage & secure the monthly accounting within Quantum of worldwide activity in 3 different regions (EUMEA, Americas, APAC) with coordination through the Accounting Dubai - Shared services and ASW in Toulouse b- Build and follow all accounting and statutory requirements including Tax Aspect Internal and Group Compliance 1- either coordinating risk management activities, assisting Group Units by identifying, assessing and managing risks. Provides the Board of Directors with the assurance that risks are processed consistently throughout the Group and that Management at all levels is cooperating in an appropriate manner and is actively involved in the risk management process; 2- or developing and maintaining the Internal Control baseline and assisting Group Units in the implementation and improvement of their own Internal Control procedures Reporting: Manage & secure the transfer of information from Quantum to Magnitude in terms of quality & time MYB:Manage the process for TAT in cooperation with ASW & Country Dir P&L:Manage with Operations to promote actions to improve EBIT & OCF BORs: Participate actively to the ASW and BOR Middle East in support to VP Finance ASW Bids&Projectscontrolling: see here after par “Growth” Budgetary Control: Ensure that Quarterly Budgetary Control is monitored and in place with All Departments to monitor Structure efficiency Tax :Extremely familiar with International Tax policy. Manage Tax declarations & returns with controllers to ensure Thales Tax compliance with Country authorities ( Income Tax /VAT in UAE) Treasury : Manage Treasury with ASW (Payment process approvals, Bank Administrator for ME, relations with banks, intragroup payment approvals, Currency Hedging, Deposits with DTG) Financial Engineering:Manage Financial Engineering (Credit Export Insurance, coordination with DAFI for Bank Guarantees,…) Audit: a-Manage any Internal Audit requirements or obligations (DARCI review, ICQ, YAL participation) b-Manage External Auditors 2- People : Management of a team when the team grows Ensure Inclusion within the multicultural team Build&contributetotheTrainingplan&InputsforRegionalPeoplereview Participate actively to ASWseminars in support to VP Finance ASW to Boostaccountability & cooperation with the Teams 3- Growth : Participate actively to the new projects that TAT has linked and interest with all regions 4- Competitiveness Be a key Stakeholder of Finance Modernization in the Region Participates in the optimization of the Unit’s economic performance by ensuring the best possible use of resources, by planning and validation of budgets, monitoring of business activity (turnover, purchase costs, cash flow, load analysis, cost control, etc.), implementation of appropriate monitoring tools (key performance indicators, dashboards, etc.) and proposal of corrective measures; Participate actively to the creation of SSC upon the schedule decided at Group level (LOTUS project) Continue theFinanceModernizationofprocess(Matrixoptimization,automaticreporting)tosimplifythe way of working Perform through cooperation with ASW and Country IS team to ensure they are committed to deliver our needs/improvement suggestions (Host to Host, Quantum improvements) Ensure structure Efficiency through the Budgetary Control with Dpts (Cost by Nature & Function, Period Cost variances, Hours management & procurement fee) 4- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Having experience with a multi-national firm or managing large divisions Strong MS Office knowledge Experience managing high-level professionals Industry-specific financial experience SAP or other ERP knowledge Proven track record of managing a team with at least 3 years of experience is preferred QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Master degree or Finance/Accounting Degree with 10 yrs experience Management/ Leadership soft skills Fluent in English Arabic and French appreciated but not mandatory PREFERRED SKILLS Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to all levels of leadership At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs. The chosen candidate will manages all private appointments for family and friends on behalf of the principal along with maintaining a rota for household staff and schedule of work needed. There will be additional responsibilities relating to art & wine collections, such as maintaining inventories and managing Auction paperwork. MAJOR FUNCTIONS Provides personal support to the Owner/s to ensure smooth running of all family and household affairs, including managing properties and operations to the highest quality, personal administrative support, event management, travel arrangements and taking ownership for all private requests to support the Owner/s.
