Obstetrician & Gynaecologist - Primavera Medical Centre-Dubai

Dubai -Primavera Medical Centre requires the services of a professional and experienced Western educated Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. Her duties include general and specific assessment of patients, treatment and continued care including delivery for pregnant women and in-patient care of gynecological patients. Required areas of expertise include management, monitoring and delivery of both low and high risk pregnancies, reproduction and infertility, out-patient gynaecological procedures like IUCD insertion, colposcopy and vulval biopsy as well as in-patient emergency and elective care for patients with gynaecological problems together with standard gynaecological surgery. This is a new post designed to meet the increasing demand for an additional Ob-Gyn in our clinic. Requirements: To provide Obstetric and Gynecological care to patients according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgment at all times and in accordance with the Clinic’s best practice policies. Participates in review and planning activities relevant to Ob-Gyn service and the clinic Participates in activities and opportunities to promote the Ob-Gyn service and the clinic to the general public and wider medical community of Dubai - and the UAE. Fulfills professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Carries out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position. Must have the ability to work well in a team environment, dedicated to the best interest of the patient. Required Skills & Experience A medical degree from a medical school recognized by the Dubai - Health Authority, and the DHCC (Dubai - Health Care City). Obtained higher specialty certificate recognized by Dubai - Health Authority and Dubai - Health Care City. Minimum of five years post basic experience of which at least 3 should be in a Western hospital setting. Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Medical Education. Active participation in Continuing Medical Education activities or scientific activities locally and internationally. Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, clinician’s and other staff. Liaises with patients, families, medical and nursing staff, and other clinical staff. Ability to project a positive public image of self and the clinic to the referring doctors.
