About the Job: An opportunity has a risen for a colleague to join our Engineering team in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, as a Senior Technician. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Implementation of the Plant & Equipment planned maintenance programmed. Implementation of the Guest Room planned maintenance programmed. Implementation of induction, health & safety, SOP and other training programmes. To deal and coordinate with external service providers and external contractors (labours etc.) onsite to ensure the upkeep of the system is up to the standards. Ensures the quality of the work completed by both subordinates and external contracted staff, adheres to the standards of good engineering practices Area of Responsibility upkeep and maintenance must be ensured. Maintaining assets must be ensured. To supervise and direct colleagues in the performance of their duties. To monitor work requests and ensure promptness of service with particular emphasis on guest areas. To carry out quality assurance spot checks on colleagues work. To liaise with specialist contractors to ensure that breakdowns are dealt with promptly and cost effectively. To ensure that all planned maintenance and training documentation is kept up to date. To monitor logbooks and ensure all relevant entries are made and any necessary follow up works are completed promptly and effectively communicated. To ensure that store requisition and purchase request procedures are followed. To assist in keeping utility costs to a minimum by ensuring that all plant and equipment is operated at the optimum level for comfort and efficiency. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 1 Year formal training in a related discipline. City and Guilds or similar qualification in related discipline. 3 years formal training (certified) in a related discipline. Diploma in related discipline. Minimum of 5 Years in a Five star Hospitality environment in related discipline. Experienced in computer based planned preventative system.
