Dubai -TO PROVIDE TOTAL PATIENT CARE TO AN ASSIGNED GROUP OF PATIENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MISSION OF FUH, ACCREDITATION STANDARDS, AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS ON A 24/7 BASIS, EITHER DAY OR NIGHT SHIFT. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care for several assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of planning, implementing, evaluating and revising the plan of care to meet changing patient need. Demonstrates knowledge and clinical skills in nursing home health care. Delivers evidence-based nursing care to patients as determined by best practice guidelines, and departmental policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develops a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family and other members of the health care team that is consistent with the medical diagnosis of the patient and which evolves to reflect changing physical, psychosocial and age-related requirements. Performs full nursing assessment on all assigned patients on admission and daily according to policy. Documents all assessments, interventions and relevant information in the patient medical record. Assesses patient educational needs and interacts with relevant personnel and departments to facilitate requirement. Demonstrates and maintains competence in all mandatory unit specific and generic competencies. Demonstrates effective communication skills when interacting with patients and families, other members of the health care team and colleagues and co-workers. Promotes continuity of safe and effective patient care through meaningful oral and written communication. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient complaints and concerns. Initiates the nursing of administrative chain of command if unable to resolve patient issues. Maintains stringent levels of asepsis through the demonstration of good infection control practices.
