Abu DhabiPermanentThe Role: To manage the procurement team to source quotations and supplies/goods using professional, honest and trustworthy suppliers upholding our procurement procedures . Subordinates : Purchaser Job Category : Operations Support Reports To : General Manager a. Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing business needs and as per local and international regulations. b. Develop material costs forecast of standard cost lists. c. Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements. d. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders. e. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. f. Implement consignments in all consumable items and reduce the cost. g. Negotiate and implement annual price agreement with all major suppliers. h. Work with GM/Production Manager and understand the business needs and plan strategies to reduce the cost of supply chain. i. Ensure lower inventory at all times. j. Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed. j. Train and mentor all Procurement and Logistics/Supply Chain Management. k. Handle communications and negotiations with international clients. l. Ensure all materials delivery is as per production planning & control (PPC), follow up with suppliers for any delays.
