Dubai -Insurance Pre-Approval Executive- Medical Coding Certified.(UAE Hospital Experience only) Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: -Coding Certifications from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g. CPC, CCS, CIC, CPMA) preferred wih a graduate degree in Nursing/Pharmacy/Physiotherapy/Allied health would be an added advantage, but optional.2-3 years in Pre-Approval management strictly within a hospital setting in Dubai - / UAEKnowledgeable in managing E-authorization on DHPO, dealing with insurance company call center and case managers for pre-approvals needs.Salary Range Aed. 5500-7000/- P.M all inclusiveDuties and ResponsibilitiesOverall pre-authorization management for Outpatient, Emergency, Daycare and Inpatient Incl. Finalize DRG approvals which support and optimizes the overall RCM processes.Effectively management modification / updating / revision of approvals based on the DHPO E-authorization platform.Identify minimum checklist documents and EMR order information to seek approvals.Relay with physician, clinical, and operational teams as need for correction of rectification of pre-authorization requests.Candidate must have a key eye on high cost surgery details estimation, identify CPTs or surgical factors (documents, surgical consumables, etc.) critical for an effective approval.Ability to identify and advise on coverage and not covered services / exclusions with all physician, nursing and administrative teams.Work with coding and denial team to identify issues and trends, to take note while reviewing approvals requests.Display a control and positive command of managing difficult queries with physicians, allied health, patient service, admitting and billing teams.Must be on the go while follow up with admitted patient- short or long term, emergency over night to realize the right approval for case to case basis.Review all admission and surgery documents that have an impact of final discharge.Identify missing/ adjustments charges, relay b/n clinical, admission and billing for necessary entry correction to optimize the authorization process.Capable to explain the patient his benefits status identified from approvals or rejected requests. Identify issues faced from registration, clinical and billing, which affects the approvals process and suggest improvements from a process standpoint.Identify Authorization and coverage orientations for clinical and patient access teams.Support and work with medical coders, to expedite corrections or revisions faced especially with post visit or post discharge scenarios.Work with HIS, IT, operations and involve in process improvement meetings that will contribute to the both approvals and overall operational processes.Must be well versed on insurance coverage and standard exclusion in all areas.Guide staff as and when needed on insurance eligibility, insurance documents and approval papersCoordinating with insurance companies for obtaining information on new policies and their coverageExplaining coverage of medical benefits / eligibility to patients when requiredMaintain communication with management on insurance mattersOther tasks as identified by the Department.Kindly email your CVs to healthcaredxb2019@gmaildotcomJob Type: Full-timeExperience:2-3 yrs of Insurance approval certified in Medical Coding: 3 years (Preferred)
