About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Commis 1 to join the Culinary Team in Zero Gravity. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Organising together with the Chef de Partie shifting in the section with regard to mise en place production and its service.
Taking orders from his/her Chef de Partie and carry them out in the correct manner.
Being responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mis-en-place and food storage.
Working to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index
Attending daily meeting with the Chef de Cuisine and other meetings as requested by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef
Checking the main information board regarding changes in any Banquets or other information regarding the organisation.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
You should possess a minimum of 3 years experience in Culinary/complete apprentice
An experience of working in a 5 star hospitality environment would be viewed as highly desirable
You must have good understanding of recipes and cooking, with time management skills, as well as the capability to multitask and strong attention to detail.
You will also be a team player and customer service ability will be excellent.
