Regional Underwriting Manager of A&H - MEA - AIG-Dubai
Dubai -Functional Area: UW - Underwriting Estimated Travel Percentage (%): Up to 25% Relocation Provided: No AIG MEA Limited Expert understanding of the A&H business model E2E, group and individual product suite, underwriting methodology, and the risks we assume Drive underwriting excellence across the A&H product line, by establishing and ensuring adherence to risk appetite, line setting, standards and guidelines, and ensure rating and pricing adequacy. Establish strong relationships with Regional leadership; create mutual understanding of overall product strategy to drive effective execution of business model Ensure business written within the A&H profit centre is in line Insurance risk policy Ensure an appropriate pricing strategy is set within the A&H profit centre Review an implement global underwriting guidelines to set out how strategic objectives are to be executed within the A&H profit centre Implement appropriate delegations of underwriting authority, and to ensure these are documented, communicated and adherence to these is monitored Provide leadership and act as referral point for Country Lead Underwriters Referral point for Home office referrals Oversight of contractual documentation including policy wording sign-off Monitor financial performance against strategic objectives and financial metrics Support to reinsure that reinsurance treaties are in place and to put in place facultative and local treaty reinsurance where required to meet strategic objectives of the A&H profit centre Ensure that adequate documentation is maintained to meet internal quality control and external regulatory and legal needs Work with external business partners – development of strategic partnerships Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance processes and actively participate in relevant governance committees Drive collaborative behaviour with leadership team across the wider business Leadership Skills: Proven Strategic Leadership skills in developing vision and purpose, driving for results and leading effective teams Experience of working as part of a senior management team and leading and articulating organisational strategy Proven ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders Highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies Ability to manage and influence in a matrix structure and across a wide geography Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team __________________________________________________________________________________ Technical Skills and Expertise: At least 7 years insurance underwriting leadership experience, including oversight over multiple products, channels and geographies including P&L responsibility Deep expertise in A&H, expert technical underwriting background Broad and extensive A&H underwriting exposure Re-Insurance experience An in-depth understanding of aggregation monitoring Strong analysis skills with proven ability of managing complex data to make sound commercial decisions Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition and distribution Established strong relationships with customers, intermediaries, and regulators Demonstrated business savvy, analytical and quantitative skills Up/Down stakeholder management Managing multi-disciplined teams Strong leadership and influencing skills at a senior level It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. IT Coordinator - Park Support - -Dubai
Dubai -Play Your Part To be part of the Park Operation IT team to deliver first class IT support and service delivery for Motiongate Park. To deploy IT equipment and software, on site across the park. Provide prompt response, and timely updates to all customers for support and services. Main Duties: Delivering IT support services to all various business operations such as park operation, retail and F&B business and end users. Able to troubleshoot systems, network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. Ensure all incidents and requests are recorded in Service Desk and actioned upon quickly. Manage daily support issues on site, and escalating to proper channels when necessary. To deploy, maintain IT equipment and software, on site across the park. Support the park in various operation roles during busy days; Are You a Star? In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria: Essential: Minimum a Diploma in Information Technology /Computer Science and/or relevant field Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCSDT), CompTIA A+ or equivalent certifications. Min 2-3 years of IT support role experiences in in hospitality industries such as parks, F&B, Retail operations or hotels. Previous experience in handling Point of Sales (“POS”), other retail or F&B systems. Able to communicate with business users at all levels. Strong troubleshooting skills in software problem or technical issues. Have supported & implemented POS, other retail or F&B systems. Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware & software concepts. Desirable: Excellent skills in excels and power points Strong understanding of hospitality IT support and services Have involved in pre-opening of attractions/parks, F&B, retail operations or hotels Have some support experience in supporting ticketing system & turnstiles. Able and quick learner to learn about the retail, ticketing and F&B business processes Requirements: Able to work in a fast pace and dynamic hospitality environment. Able to work in an outdoor environment Work on a rotating shift including weekends and public holidays Available for overtime work as schedule requires.
