Required Experience: Have a work experience as Port Engineer; Have an experience with auxiliary equipment on ships; Ability to choose & compare quality of oil water separators; Ability to re-fabricate old oil water separator; Job Description: Performs major and specialized mechanical related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals. Determined the nature and extent of damaged or malfunction of equipment. Planned work procedures, using charts, technical manuals. Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related marine research equipment. Avoid personal or property damages by always emphasize on safety first. Identify and use of special equipment, measuring tools, pressure gauges, and instruments Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment repair. Ability to operate, read and interpret data performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks. Tests marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments. Writes specifications for and recommends purchase of marine equipment.
