Role Description: We are seeking a transport planner who has excellent transport planning skills and the ambition to grow these as part of a Dubai - based Transport team and provide additional support to the broader Planning team in Dubai -, and by extension assist the broader Arup office, helping them support project work across the Middle East. Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate shall be expected to be able to meet the following specific job requirements: Possess analytical and transport modelling skills. Ability to communicate effectively complex issues associated with transport planning and design projects. Proven ability to write reports, fee letters and emails to clients. They should be able to work as part of a team, meeting deadlines and client requirements. Be a ‘self-starter’ with a developing interest in managing projects, people and meeting clients with support. Be adaptable with the ability to also assist the planners and engineers on their project work in the office. Specific Requirements and Skills: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with specialty in Transportation or related field with a minimum of four (5) years post graduate work experience. Assisting Senior Transport Planners in delivering projects for government and local developer clients. Preparing bids and developing client relationships. Knowledge and experience of implementing active travel strategies and policies Core technical skills – modelling traffic flows using mathematical techniques and specialist computer applications.
