Dubai -REPORT TO : Nurse Supervisor 1.2 RESPONSIBLE FOR : Ward Attendants 1.3 LIAISES WITH : Medical Staff Nursing Education Department Infection Control Nurse Support Services Patients and families 2.0 JOB SUMMARY : Manages patient care in allocated area ensuring good standard of care provided. 3.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 3.1 Assist the Physicians in the OPD and make patient comfortable and be available during patient’s examination. 3.2 Assist the patients in case of admission by accompanying them to complete the admission procedures (PAD /Insurance etc.) 3.3 Check the working condition of the equipment’s and report to the In-charge OPD. 3.4 Assists in Activities of Daily Livings (ADL’s) 3.5 Check room data checklist daily 3.6 Comprehensive basic hygienic care of the patients as delegated by the Registered Nurse. 3.7 Provide removal, disposal and disinfection of bedpan / Urinal 3.8 Accompany patients for special procedures / to other units within the Clinic. 3.9 Ensure Infection control practices 3.10 Check CSSD supplies/ equipment / inventory 3.11 Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of the unit 3.12 Answer “Call lights” Ensure the proper functioning of the call lights and proper positioning of the call bell switch at the patient bed side. 4.0 QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS: 4.1 Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing. 4.2 Current license in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Dubai -, U.A.E. 4.3 Minimum 2 years nursing experience after qualification. 4.4 Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
