About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Bell Attendant to join the team at Jumeirah Living. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Always have a smiling, helpful and friendly attitude towards colleagues & guests and provide a courteous and professional service at all times. Assist guests with loading & unloading of luggage as well as delivering it to and collecting it from the guest’s room ensuring that no damage is being done to any piece of luggage. Supervises the traffic and the parking of vehicles at the main entrance to ensure that the approach to the main entrance is kept free of vehicle and that vehicles are not parked where they could block an access to the hotel and run-way. Ensures that doors are opened and guests directed to the area of the hotel to which they wish to go Deliver any faxes, messages, parcels, mail, newspapers, etc. to guest rooms/ mail boxes in a timely manner and always verifying the guest’s name and room number. Maintain a high level of knowledge about Jumeirah Living facilities and services as well as Dubai - and other Jumeirah properties to be equipped to answer guest enquiries and questions Record any guest deliveries on the appropriate form. Record any luggage deliveries and storages accurately on the correct form. Issue luggage tags to the guests correctly. Maintain a record of the car/taxi number plate for departing guests Opens cars and taxi’s doors for arriving and departing guests, ensuring a polite manner and courteous wishes Store guest’s luggage according to the hotel’s SOPs. Coordinate with Housekeeping to keep the Lobby and landing area clean at all times. Always greet the guest with a smile and where possible address them by name. Assist guests with directions within the hotel (i.e. guide them to their room, The Club, swimming pool etc.) To transport the guest’s luggage to his/her room in an efficient and courteous manner ensuring no damage is caused to the luggage or contents. Prepare cold towel for all arrival guest Update local newspaper delivery list daily & print international newspaper whenever necessary. Collect “Breakfast door knob menu” from assigned floors Actively use the Jumeirah Hallmarks, Guiding Principles in every day tasks. Comply with the health, safety and hygiene policy and maintain grooming standards Be aware of and follow all relevant SOPs and Jumeirah policies, Procedure Act as a sales person of all Jumeirah properties and products.
