About the Role: An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Shared Services team in Dubai - Shared Services at Jumeirah Group. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Implement the SSC’s credit policies and procedures in order to maximize hotel profitability through reducing bad debt exposure and improving working capital. Attend the monthly credit meetings with the relevant SBU representatives as and when necessary and highlight monthly performance and bad debts, and discuss any accounts concern in order to provide visibility on the SBUs’ credit position and resolve any issues in a timely manner. Execute all credit management activities such as current and new customer credit applications and accounts in order to ensure they comply with the SSC’s policies and procedures. Investigate customer’s credit worthiness through various available means and recommend credit approvals and disapprovals in order to ensure that all credit options are granted to reliable and solvable customers. Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Manager, the SBUs’ Directors of Finance and Finance Managers, and Business Support functions on all matters pertaining to credit of guests and city ledger accounts. Support guests and other departments in matters concerning the request for credits, the issuance of credits, the formulation of credit conditions, invoice schedules and provide any assistance with credit requirements in order to ensure that all credits granted have conditions that allow capture of revenues while reducing financial risks. Continuously monitor key credit accounts and their related transactions in order to ensure that the credit granted to corporate and special clients is in accordance with their contract. Provide support during the annual audit process by working with internal and external auditors to answer queries and provide any documents required in a timely manner. Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practices, improvement of processes and productivity improvement. Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. Strong understanding of key financial and accounting processes (accounts payables, accounts receivables, collection cycles, reconciliation etc.) Strong knowledge of financial control, compliance and reporting. Proficiency in software applications and databases, Microsoft Office and analysis tools.
