About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Executive (Financial Accounting) role at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: To ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and doesn’t have unauthorised postings for SBU level. To ensure all the journals required to allocate the expenses to correct cost centres are posted as part of month end process for SBU level. To assist department with their queries on P&L. To accrue all the expenses incurred in the month but not booked (i.e. Travel Expense and General Cashier related). To ensure transfer/resign colleague’s outstanding balance (i.e. personal calls, salary advance etc.) are settled before signing the clearance form. Cash Receipt vouchers and Cash payment voucher to be posted in General Cashier. To prepare month end reports for corporate office/owners and for financial packs. To assist Asst. Finance Manager in ensuring all the P&L have correct postings. To assist Asst. Finance Manager during the yearly budget preparation. To assist Asst. Finance Manager for monthly Forecast and ensure deadline are met. To prepare the requirements of Internal/External and Government auditors during audit period. To ensure monthly spot check on General Cashier cash on hand and supporting documents. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management. Ad hoc tasks as required by Assist. Finance Manager, Financial Controller and General Manager. AboutYou: The idealcandidate for this position will have the following experience andqualifications: Qualification equivalent to Degree in Hotel Management, Accounting Degree or certificate in HOSPA or CIMA or Business Degree. Previous Accounting experience up to finalization (minimum 2 years) Experience within a hotel environment is desirable but not essential. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word) Micros and Opera knowledge will be an advantage. SUN and Hyperion knowledge is essential.
