Duties & Responsibilities Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover. Responsible for responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Prepares budget of human resources operations. Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs. Administers HR policy guidance and interpretation. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
