About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Internal Auditor within the Internal Audit team in Jumeirah Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Supports the prioritization of the audit initiatives based on urgency, organizational issues and importance, and implement the plan based on the prioritization in order to ensure the critical and major areas are audited on priority. Contribute to the risk assessment process by identifying existing and emerging risks and internal controls within the Group and its SBUs and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. Conduct meetings with auditees to identify and understand all aspects of internal controls, procedures, policies and practices and generate the relevant reports as required. Conduct internal audit activities (as per DH Audit manual) including the audit of areas such as operational processes, financial and accounting processes, IT, HR, marketing and sales processes, etc. depending on risks identified, and highlight non-conformances and facilitate their prompt mitigation. Support process owners in developing suitable corrective/preventive actions in response to the internal audits areas of non-compliance in order to enable quick correction and mitigation of further occurrences. Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions identified to ensure they are corrected on time and to keep the line manager informed of any discrepancies or delays. Complete the day-to-day activities assigned by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence. About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University. Professional Certification Essential: CIA Desired: CISA, CFE 3 to 5 years of internal audit experience preferably with an international luxury hospitality company/ recognized blue-chip organization and/or external audit within the “Big 4”. Proficient data collection/mining, data analytics and reporting skills. Proficient in planning, organizing and multi-tasking. Ability to provide guidance to more junior team members.
