Dubai -The Mission: The Application Service Manager Performs a range of professional studies, analyses and concepts pertaining to the development/ programming/ configuration of IT Software and Solution systems according to defined targets and processes in an assigned area of work, an assigned team or organizational unit. Focus here will be on Application solutions. Executes the design, development, testing and documentation of additional developments according to the specification developed and or agreed by Solution Manager, Process manager, Application Consultant and Application Management Team Lead. The role requires advanced analytical capabilities in case of error handling across the landscape as well as architectural capabilities to design an maintainable interface environment. What are my responsibilities? Develops business software applications and/or IT solutions based on functional specifications. Consults with customers in creating functional specifications and work estimates and supports Make-or-Buy decisions. Analyses performance gaps of existing software environments and proposes measures to address efficiency problems. Continuously optimize programs in terms of performance and security. Performing / organizing comprehensive unit tests of the developments with counterparts. Creates / updates technical/user documentation. Keeping of standards that are defined by Spiridon ACC. Assisting in effort estimations for programming activities and assisting in specification of the requirements. Providing feedback about the progress of the development. What do I need to qualify for this job? Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent degree or higher. A minimum of 5 years of relevant Programming experience with a proven track record managing coding standards and implementation projects. Very good understanding of system/program design methodologies, ITIL principles with regards to Change and Problem management. Solid knowledge and understanding of Application modules and related data bases. Good understanding of respective other program languages (e.g. Java, html, ABAP, etc.). Microsoft Office e.g. word, excel, power point, visio, ms-project. Relevant programming language. Solid Windows Development skills (Visual Studio, MS .net, SQL Server, VB*, C, C++, C#), Windows/Unix environment (Scripting technologies) rounded by the high ability to convert customer requirements into efficient programs.
