Key Job Responsibilities As an Assistant Financial Controller under the guidance of the Financial Controller and in accordance with Hotel accounting and financial controls, and within the policies and procedures, Hotel and corporate policies and guidelines, and the Hotel’s business plan you are responsible for all Hotel Accounting and Financial Records Oversee the accurate processing of financial transactions and the handling of financial and related documentation according to established policy and procedures To conduct financial analysis and define the results of the operation of the Hotel. To ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled by the 15th of each month and these to be reviewed and initialed. Checks the totals of all house fund receipts and its agreement with the amount booked in the general ledger. Updating of the insurance register, prepaid expenses, deferred charges and income. Bank A/C reconciliation and updating Assists the Financial Controller and the Department Heads in preparing for the month-end P & L Review and annual budget Implement and keeps an internal control and audit system which will ensure the efficient supervision of the Hotel valuables and revenues along with the regular rendering of operating results. Month-end closing of accounts. Qualifications Candidate must possess relevant diploma in Accounting Minimum 2-3 years of work experience/training in a 4 star hotel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must Proficiency in communication and math skills is imperative. Knowledge with Suns System.
