Dubai -Job Description This position will drive Visa’s strategically important and high-visibility Payment Data Security measures in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA). It entails responsibility for policy execution of CEMEA regions’ Merchant Risk, Third Party and Vendors’ compliance. These programs and security standards have the objectives of maintaining a resilient payment ecosystem given the rapid increase of non-traditional licensees, fast digitization of payments and the ever-evolving cybersecurity threats. The focus of data security programs is to increase adoption of security standards and solutions by client banks, third parties, vendors and merchants to protect vulnerable data. The team’s charter is also to increase Visa’s visibility of Third Parties in the payment ecosystem. In all cases, strategies, action plans and programs will be designed and implemented to control risks, taking into account geographic differences, while at the same time supporting business growth, accelerate innovation and reinforce Visa’s brand leadership. This role reports into the Head of CEMEA Risk Strategy and Operations (RSO), with frequent interactions across external stakeholders such as Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants, Third Party Agents, Processors, Payment Card Industry (PCI) Forensic Investigators and Regulators. Internally, this role will interface with Regional and Country Management, Risk Managers, Merchant Sales & Acquirers team, Client Services and Global Payment System Risk teams. Key measures of success for this position include: Identifying and establishing relationships with external players who bring in industry leading expertise and capabilities in the area of data security, and package their offerings and learnings to clients and ecosystem stakeholders Reduced cyber fraud at merchants, third party processors and financial institutions Rapid response, analysis, triage and mitigation of data compromise events Increased brand reputation and acknowledgement of Visa’s strategies and capabilities around data security Increased adoption of data security standards and solutions by all ecosystem players Increased visibility of Third Party Agents providing payment-related services to Visa clients Responsibilities Manage emerging data security risks across Visa’s Clients, Merchants, Third Party Agents, Cards vendors, Fintechs & Processors: Implement global programs, strengthen due diligence on and monitoring of all ecosystem players and assess data security requirements for new players. Accountable for policy execution, operations & oversight of the following programs over Clients, Agents, Processors and Merchants: Agent registration Approved card vendor program PIN Security compliance PCI data security compliance – agents, processors, merchants Access Control Servers (ACS) and Visa Net Processor (VNP) compliance Develop industry leading strategies and action plans to mitigate emerging data security risks, trends and vulnerabilities by tapping internal (cybersecurity / global fraud alerts, Tokenization and other data devaluing solutions) as well as external resources (PFI alerts, PCI advisories, regulatory directives, credible industry publications and events content) Provide solutions to internal and external stakeholders related to data security assessments of new clients, vendors and fintechs as well as new products and business initiatives. Drive data security initiatives – ensure data security initiatives such as Technology Innovation Programs, Qualified Integrator/Reseller program are delivered to a high standard that increasingly differentiates Visa. Ensure sufficient training and documentation exists so clients, card vendors and third parties understand clearly what is required. Recommend best practice, processes and policies towards the documentation and development of best practices guides Lead mitigation efforts for high-risk third party entities identified: Provide oversight and guidance to Risk Managers (RMs) by ensuring practical action plans are developed and implemented and are executed as on a timely basis Lead development of regional security standards and country plans - Responsible for developing and maintaining security standards at the regional and country-level including PCI Data Security, PA-Data Security. Collaborate on Emerging Technology regional standards related to Point to point encryption, Mobile mPOS and Tokenization. Manage data compromise investigations from detection to remediation stages, managing internal and external communication, liaising with the breached entities, client banks and law enforcement Drive data security thought leadership and awareness in the region, conducting seminars and speaking at relevant events representing Visa Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in IT / Information Management with Security qualifications including CISSP / CISM / PCI DSS Experience in payment card industry Strategic thinker, providing thought leadership with good problem solving skills.
