Dubai -GAC Group IT is seeking a senior developer to join to its warehousing Scrum team. The successful candidate will develop and maintain our in-house developed warehousing systems. We have an application suite covering WMS, scanner device application, customer web portals and reporting, Value Added Services application and Customer EDI and API integrations. We use a variety of different platforms; PowerBuilder, Sybase and C#.NET as the main technologies and have projects in the pipeline for Android development and low-code platforms. Key areas of responsibility: Development and maintenance of existing applications. Handle support tickets, change requests, bug fixes and develop new features. Trouble shooting, database optimization and generating custom reports. Working with the Operations team to find improvements in the process and application. Be part of the complete development life cycle. Requirements Excellent written and spoken English skills. The ability to communicate clearly is a must. Honest and hardworking team-player with a passion for system development and customer service. Self-motivated, responsible person that can break down tasks, plan their own time, follow timelines and meet deadlines. 5 years’ professional experience of handling software support and Jira is an advantage. 5 years’ professional experience of development using .NET, web technologies and databases is a must. 5 years’ professional experience of development using PowerBuilder is a great advantage. 5 years’ professional experience of warehousing/3PL system is a great advantage.
