About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Assistant Outlet Manager to join the Food & Beverage Team. The main purpose of this role is to work in our hotel on a daily basis according to business requirements. Your main duties will include the following: To always embrace the Jumeirah Hallmarks. Achieve company’s Mission and Vision. Ensure guests live the “Ultimate Experience” Greet and meet colleagues upon arrival to the outlet. Take a walk around before the operation and after the operation. Ensure the operation is smooth before leaving. Meet every table as possible and introduce yourself. Ensuring the buffet is perfect condition and Representates the standards of BAA. The food is refilled often and kept clean changing the cutlery. All individual and group bookings are made according to company requirements and escorted to the table in a organized manner. Assist colleagues to serve, reset tables and if required with food pick up. Handle guest complaints. Follow up tasks, reports and daily events. Planning for future events. Conduct departmental briefings and meetings. Assist the manager in all aspects of operation and administration. Implement, maintain and train colleagues on LQA standards. Take necessary corrective action on root cause of problems. To develop and maintain an elegantly appointed environment, with superior staff, dedicated to an attentive, distinctive experience for all dining periods. To assist with hiring, training, supervising and discipline all outlet colleagues. To maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests. To possess a management ability that ensures a successful handling of the outlet To ensure all events are smoothly operated. To ensure the correct and consistent service techniques for various events will be demonstrated by all colleagues. To anticipate, in advance, all materials and supplies and assure their availability. To control usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools and service equipment. To observe daily conditions of all physical facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. To prepare colleague schedules, which allow for appropriate service while controlling labour costs and over time. To communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals. To communicate with the Manager, Chef, and F&B management to discuss menus, marketing strategies and guest feedbacks and concerns. Ensure that s/he and the team adhere to all hotel and company standards, Business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health, Hygiene & Safety. Takes full responsibility of the outlet in the absence of the Outlet Manager. Ensure all carving trolleys and service equipment’s are in good condition, polished and up to standard. Focus on WIG’s along side with the manager and involve the team as well. About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in similar luxury, high end work environment as assistant manager. Experience in Asian Cuisine and customs. Management role in a cultural diverse workforce. International exposure. Strong leadership skills due to casual fluctuating team. Knowledge in fine dining concepts, styles and techniques. Able to manage large groups and high turn over with serving all meal periods High school degree. Certified task and group trainer. Previous restaurant experience. Detailed Food & beverage knowledge within a Quality Luxury Brand. Excellent presentation and social etiquette. Physically fit and able to work under pressure. High sense of responsibility. Foreign language.
