Multi-Craft Foreman - -UAE

UAEKey Accountability Areas Supervise daily maintenance activities within maintenance divisions and responsible for inspections, repairs, and the certification of mechanical and wellhead equipment. Supervise the hands-on work execution of technicians and team leaders assigned to perform jobs and emergency work, consistent with plans, schedules including contractors to fully meet assigned area requirement. Troubleshoot complex problems that may arise within the responsibility of the assigned area. Deploy staff and provide sufficient supervision to assure each assigned job is completed in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Ensure work is completed in conformance with quality assurance, good work practices and safety rules. Work with tools and equipment when required for work completion deadlines or training for new staff. Assigns workers to specific duties and schedule electricians, A/C technician and plumbers to assigned work locations. Estimate job scopes and costs to submit to tenants. Inspects work for conformance to specifications on the assigned project. Completes assigned projects while adhering to all warranty requirements. Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders as needed for area of supervision. Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Analyzes and resolves work problems and maintains time records for staff members. Estimates and requisitions the necessary materials and supplies. Direct contractors providing services to the maintenance unit. Visit work locations to follow up on work performance and job accomplishments of assigned personnel and advise personnel regarding unusual maintenance problems. Collaborate with Maintenance Superintendents and Engineers to develop daily work schedules, ensuring full and efficient utilization of craftsmen. Review work performed by the Unit, and ensure it complies with inspection and safety codes, safety regulations, relevant API and maintenance standards. Train employees in proper techniques, work methods, standards of quality and desired output. Explain and observe use and care of tools and equipment. Track the daily & PM schedule for full compliance with no overdue. Train personnel to develop technical ability, follow up the assigned training and certification with zero overdue in the safety matrix. Work as a focal point of contact with the operation foreman in the assigned area to clear all related backlog in timely manner (WO, IWS, Audit, insurance, compliance, etc.). Perform all applicable miscellaneous duties assigned as required. Any other ad hoc administrative duty assigned by the Line Manager. Education & Qualifications ▪Associate degree in mechanics or related subject. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred. ▪Extensive experience leading multi- craft technicians ▪Good computer skills and experience on MS Office packages Experience ▪Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling facilities with field experience out of which at least 2 years as a Senior Technician or foreman. ▪Proficient in critical crafts such as; mechanical, instrumentation and metals. ▪Familiar with the quality management standards such as API spec Q1/Q2 or ISO 9001 as well as equipment specification API 6A. Knowledge & Skills ▪Previous Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Lighting, Wiring, Alarm Systems, Fire Prevention Systems. ▪Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage situations promptly and professionally, meeting commitments for service and assistance. ▪Able to maintain effective communication at all times. ▪Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests Interpersonal & Communication Skills▪Must be able to read, write and speak English. ▪Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. ▪Ability to read analyses and respond to common inquiries. ▪Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of internal customers and employees. ▪Should be able to follow spoken or written instructions. ▪Should be physically fit.
