Opportunity To work towards becoming a qualified Average Adjuster. The role of an Average Adjuster is to act as an independent expert intermediary, guiding parties in shipping accidents through the different stages of a claim. To identify and resolve areas of potential dispute using their expertise in the law and practice of general average and marine insurance, speeding up the claim settlement process and enhancing commercial relationships between the assured and the insured. Responsibilities 1. Collating and interpreting documentation. 2. To manage marine claims, in accordance with marine insurance and legal principles. 3. Responsible for report writing. 4. Correspondence and communication with ship owners, underwriters, brokers, surveyors and lawyers, domestically and overseas. 5. Interpreting policies and preparing claim adjustments and settlement recommendations. 6. Researching technical and legal questions. 7. Provide input into business development. Participating in marketing opportunities as required. 8. Undertake relevant personal study (AAA exams), relevant company training and participate in continued professional development opportunities. 9. ROLE PURPOSE: Managing all MIS systems and Finance business intelligence tools to provide financial, operational and analytic support to the Finance Management in order to provide the right guidance for the brand to take strategic decisions. KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for all the MIS tools and systems in order to provide accurate data and analytics for the brand under supervision from Management Accountant. Coordinate with different Finance functions to consolidate the data for the whole brand and provide accurate reporting for the Leadership teams. Reconciling Vendor Statement of accounts. Merchandise and Non-Merchandise GRN and monthly reconciliation Preparing accrual and prepaid expense entries for the month closure. Reconciling all the Assets and Liabilities GL accounts every month and maintain schedules for the same. Keeping track of all the insurance policies and maintaining data for the same for all the stores. Co-ordination in completion of internal and external audits and provide required schedules. Prepare audit schedules in time for submission to Internal & External auditors. Ensure all the tax reports & reconciliation required for monthly filling of tax returns are prepared in time as per the group deadlines and made available for review before the due date. Provide any ad-hoc reports and information required. Education: Graduate degree (CA / ICWA equivalent) Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Candidate should have at least of 3-4 years of experience in Retail Job-Specific Skills: Thorough knowledge of Accounting – Accounts Finalisation/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow/Budgeting Able to work and deliver under pressure.
