In business terms, the bursar is the Chief Operating Officer and is directly responsible to the Head for the operational management of the school. Consequently, the successful applicant will be a highly strategic, commercially astute leader for the 100+ support staff at the school, with the expertise and knowledge to manage and develop skilled administrators as well as other support staff to ensure that teaching staff are able to focus on their core academic imperatives. The modern bursar has a remit which extends far beyond the traditional mandate of budgets, buses and buildings. At Dubai - College the incumbent is a significant strategic leader, second only to the Head in seniority, who sits on the SLT and alongside the Board of Governors. In addition to financial management and controls, premises and health and safety, the successful applicant will have oversight of procurement, logistics, IT, catering, medical, compliance (legal, regulatory and financial) as well as HR. In all these areas they are supported by a team of professionals. This is a full-time position and the following skills and requirements are required: GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To supervise, oversee, coordinate and provide advice on all Facility Management services associated with Commercial, Industrial, or Residential real estate properties for Clients.
