Dubai -Job Description We, for our client based in Dubai -, UAE, a leader in Rental Access & Heavy Equipment, are hiring aYard Controller. Purpose In charge of yard activity, implement OHS, Safe loading/unloading, housekeeping and maintaining yard flow. Plan and supervise yard activities to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of yard, considering commercial and operational factors and ensuring compliance with safety and discipline, while adhering to Company policies and procedures, the safety of the workers, vehicle operators, material movers, and helpers. with prior experience in the same position and industry with experience in OHS, Aerial Work Platforms, Safe loading. Responsible for proper and safe unloading and loading of Aerial Work Platforms ensuring safe transport and freight of the equipment. Supervises correct tying down of machines and correct tools used include aesthetics checkpoint on AWP leaving the yard such as ready tag, service stickers, safety decals, breakdown, IPAF Stickers and company stickers. Complete documentation required will be taking care of. Assists Stores controller in the loading and unloading of parts into the stores. Also, act as a "Runner" for parts withdrawal for Site and Workshop activity. Speed trolleys will be updated on a weekly basis. In absence of Stores controller, he will be in charge in store day to day operation. He will be in charge for the tagging of used parts and tools shadow boards. Responsible for 5S activity in the yard. This includes trees trimming, cleaning of the yard perimeter area, scraps, used oil and filters disposal through Dubai - Municipality. Responsible for Waste Water recycling plant operation and maintenance. Maintain a weekly checklist and housekeeping. In charge of processing wastewater disposal through DM online. Responsible for OHS activity in the yard. First Aid, safety awareness, waste/safety walk activity with the checklist. Fire extinguishers inspections, Pest control, A/C servicing schedules, Electrical and Plumbing concerns in the workshop and offices. He will also supervise crane and forklift operation for safe operation. Responsible for ensuring all machines come back to the yard with track unit activated. To inform technician to carry out the track unit install for other machines. Coordinate with First checkers completion of the first check for all AWPs in the yard. Ensure machine preparation cycle is taking place: Process "tagging" and or machine status change are in place to have updated/real-time data entry. Assist Technical Coordinator in documentation entry in syrinx. In absence of TC, he will fill in for data entry in syrinx. Assist in IPAF training yard activity. Coordination with IPAF instructors for yard requirements and preparation. Responsible for correct inventory of consumable supplies in the yard. Ensure third party activity follows yard safety policy. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to best practice safety procedures. Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions with customers. Requirement Minimum of 2+ years experience in the Supervisory role at the workshop/maintenance department. IT literate, with advanced Excel skills, Word and PowerPoint Presentations. Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Tertiary engineering qualification would be advantageous. Quick learner, eager to learn and develop. GCC experience. Similar industry experience.
