This role would suit an individual with experience working for a multi-national insurance firm, who has a solid understanding of finance operations for insurance. This role will manage a small finance team covering accounts payable and receivable, general ledger accounting, and insurance operations (processing of claim payments, premium receivables, broker payments etc). The Role Ensure that financial information is processed in accordance with internal processes and procedures Maintain a robust control environment and best practice in line with international standards Process high volumes of international Report preparation and reconciliation Oversee timely payments of vendors Liaise with internal teams and colleagues to confirm premium receipts and allocations Maintain accounting procedures for receivables, payables, and making improvements where possible Manage a small team of 3-4 Take responsibility for ensuring that policies and procedures are compliant both for company rules and legislative/regulatory rules. Maintain understanding of legislation and regulation relevant for insurance finance Support legal and compliance teams for regulatory reporting where necessary The Candidate Qualified accountant Comprehensive experience in finance for insurance Preferably already based in Dubai -, however international candidates will be considered with relevant experience Able to manage a small team Able to manage processing of a high level of information, to a very high degree of accuracy Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be preferable

Assistant Headteacher - Secondary - September 2019 start - -Dubai

Dubai -About the role We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher from September 2019, who has a track record of outstanding classroom practice and the ability to lead improvement in academic standards and student outcomes. As a member of SLT, the Assistant Headteacher will play an important role in the overall leadership and management of the school. In particular, you will work closely with the Head of Secondary to lead and develop outstanding teaching and learning across the school. Duties and responsibilities will include:  A part time teaching commitment  Accelerating levels of progress in the core subjects in your phase so aiming for a SEF 1.2 of very good or above  Monitoring student progress in partnership with Curriculum leaders/Heads of Department in line with assessment and recording policy across your agreed phase  Using comparative data and prior attainment data to set targets with Year leaders (YL)/Heads of Department/Curriculum leaders. Be able to use National Agenda Parameter data (CAT4, GL assessments, IBT ( Arabic)) to inform best practice  Working with through-school and through-phase student groups as required as part of your strategic duties as directed by the Head of Primary or Secondary  Working as partners in leadership with members of the Executive team to ensure there is a shared vision for the further development of your phase and strategic area  Ensuring you are up to date with recent research within your phase of expertise and with UK/MoE education expectations and examination board requirements. You will need to know both UK and MoE curriculum compliance  Holding Curriculum/Year Leaders accountable for standards and the daily high expectations required of all teachers (marking, planning, lesson delivery).
