Description The Clinical Product Specialist provides distributor and end-customer clinical applications support, product training/demonstrations (in-service) and promotes marketing efforts, communications and internal/external educational programs for all Devicor Medical Products, Inc. products primarily in EMEA region but with overlap/back-up coverage in other regions as needed. Individual will actively work to ensure distributor strategies and growth efforts align with internal objectives and targets of the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES) Clinical Product Support Maintains thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of all Company products and competitive technologies. Provides clinical and technical resources and ensures competitive selling competencies to distributors and customers. Establishes appropriate and regular communication platforms and organizes product trainings, professional education courses, workshops and seminars. Works closely with Devicor Medical Products, Inc. global headquarters worldwide, to facilitate flow of information and clinical product support to region. Maintains excellent practical understanding and clinical experience of all Devicor Medical Products, primarily with Vacuum Assisted Biopsy procedures in the stereotactic, ultrasound, tomosynthesis and MRI environments, including biomarkers; maintains same level of expertise requirements for Gamma Detection procedures or equivalent alternatives. Must be able to Works closely with distributors, physicians and technologists to increase procedural knowledge and product satisfaction in multiple settings including at customer clinical sites involving patients. Provides full product support related to clinical applications, product operation, functionality, and troubleshooting. Is able to demonstrate and provide in-service training. Responds to customer and distributor needs and concerns to resolve issues quickly and professionally. Facilitates product complaint process including follow-up with headquarters for appropriate follow-up, feedback and full complaint resolution. Attends international congresses, to provide product support and demonstrations at the exhibit booth. Attends and supports OUS clinical applications or training assignments in global regions. Channel Management Assistance Works closely with Director and/or Regional Managers to support achievement of regional sales plan. Facilitates commercial opportunities and negotiations in full channel link: Manufacturer to Distributor to End-Customer. Assists with training, implementation, and ongoing use of CRM in the region. Facilitates enrolment and organization of global training programs including Initial Product Training (IPT) based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Administrative Provides or ensures prompt, accurate completion of key management duties or reports including but not limited to employee dashboards, trip reports, event ROI summaries, sales funnel updates (sales force.com), market/business review templates, expense reports, surveys, internal/external training records, product/capital assets (demo equipment) and compliance testing. Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years’ technical experience with clinical radiology products. Fluency in English with strong written and oral skills. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and nationalities. DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience with Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy and/or radiology imaging equipment preferred. Experience as Clinical Product Application Specialist for a medical device company preferred. Additional language skills applicable to region highly preferred (e.g. German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic). EDUCATION Associate’s degree or local equivalent required. Extensive professional or clinical experience working with comparable technologies within a clinical environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences preferred, but not required. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to travel a minimum of 60% of the time; travel requirements may require up to 80%. International travel required primarily throughout Europe. Assignments may include travel outside of primary region to support other projects, to attend training programs (in role of trainee or trainer) and/or for business-necessary visits to global headquarters. Examples of attendance requirements include: Global Sales or Training Meetings (worldwide locations), Mammotome Headquarters - Cincinnati, Ohio; Mammotome European Headquarters - Hamburg, Germany; Other facilities in Germany; European Congress of Radiology – Vienna, Austria; EUSOBI – European location; RSNA – Chicago, Illinois; Journées françaises de radiologie – Paris, France. Typical work-related travel assignments can range from a few days and may occasionally include longer assignments. Majority or all of trips will require overnight, out-of-town stays.
