Job Purpose/Role Fiscal and Management Accounting Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance and development of all processes and systems related to Accounting, Financial, Fiscal, Controlling and Reporting functions Develop and manage the staff engaged with these functions and activities Develop, manage and optimize the relationship with external companies engaged with the functions and activity Know MAN Accounting, Financing incl. Financial Principles and Guidelines ensuring adherence to them Oversee the month-end closing including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation as well as preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting requested by Top Management, the shareholder and, more importantly by the stakeholder of the State like: Federal Government, State Government, Municipality, Tax Authorities, Central Bank,… Ensure proper filing of tax returns and adherence to Transfer Pricing Rules Create and manage preparation of management accounting and project controlling reports Supervise introduction and operation of financial section of SAP system and corresponding process (if applicable) Financial Management Ensure proper invoicing processes in all units Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports with monthly Profit and Loss and according forecast and budgets by division and profit center. Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed Control Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and ensure timely payment by customers Oversee cash planning and expenditure of capital investments and asset management Oversee financing transactions as well as banking relationships Maintain control over all foreign exchange transactions ensuring proper hedge strategies to prevent exposure to currency fluctuations Insurance/Real Estate/Legal Affairs and Administration Manage the company’s legal affairs in the areas of corporate matters, governmental registrations, contracts, taxes, etc. Prepare the execution and filing of the minutes of the yearly shareholders meeting Manage the company’s insurance programs Manage the company’s real estate affairs consisting of leases and sub-leases landlords Compliance and Control Systems Be the top-most guardian of the Code of Conduct creating and/or monitoring the processes that will ensure adherence to it Continuously ensure and monitor the adherence to the Approval Matrix and other rules and regulations Ensure legal and regulatory compliance Manage and continuously improve the company´s Internal Control System Coordinate internal and external audits Strategic and Commercial Management As a true business partner to the MD/GM and BU leaders, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the management. Provide support during preparation of business plans and yearly business target agreements in close coordination with all Business Units Controllers Provide support in the preparation of the Critical Bid Approval Form and Large Project Application Continuously support the development and improvement of corporate processes Continuously monitor, report and mitigate potential risks Your qualifications Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance & Accounts or business administration Minimum ten years of related experience Experience in European and multinational Industries or Services Companies with distinctive intercultural skills Deep knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost principles Experience in strategic planning and execution IFRS Motivating, inspiring and participative Leadership skills, clear and direct communication and negotiation skills Competencies Required: Communicating in an understandable manner Decision Making Flexibility Dealing with Stress Customer Orientation Business Acumen Job information This position is located at the MAN Energy Solutions in Dubai - .
