Dubai -ContractLooking to hire a Business and Solutions Architect for an Insurance Company based in Dubai -.Tasks assigned to this level require an in-depth and broader understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution, as well as architecture patterns and methodologyBe an active contributor to IT Architecture activities:- Refine the Enterprise and Functional Architecture frameworks, guidelines and design patterns,- Ensure consistency and promote reusability across the IT landscape,- Review customer business functions and processes, and embed them in the target Architecture,- Maintain model and documentation updated in Visio / UML / XSD repository,- Enable the IT Digital Transformation through key IT enablers such as Portals, Enterprise Content Management, Identity and Access Management, Mobility, Enterprise Integration Platforms, Service Enablement, Business Process Management, Customer Relationship Management, 360º Customer View, etc.,- Acquire and maintain a deep knowledge of the IT applications, integration and project portfolio looking proactively for simplification and sharing options while providing the day to day support to the relevant projects, involving when needed transversal architects,- Work closely with information security and other departments to embed guidelines into architecture principles;Contribute to the relevant IT projects providing support and correct analysis to:- Derive key architectural decisions providing clear recommendations aligned with the strategy and business requirements,- Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software,- Contribute to software selection processes,- Define the solution architecture when applicable with special focus on time-to-market (iterative approach), cost optimization and integration (user interface, services and data),- Lead and coordinate the design with IT, Business, INM and Group stakeholders,- Provide support to project team;Analyze and support the relevant projects to ensure alignment with:- Local IT strategy reflected into the Target Architecture,- Budget constraints and cost optimization,- Standards and methodologies, looking proactively for reusing existing assets from the IT Solutions Catalog while satisfying the local business requirementsActively communicate:- Interact with main IT actors for the definition of the actions to control BAU costs,- Divulgate the IT architectural know-how to approach the projects in alignment with the main principles,- Promote department’s principles and collaborative approach to solution delivery and engagement,- Contribute to building efficiency gains through implementation of best practices,- Maintain a proactive relationship with enterprise solutions vendors.Areas of knowledgeIT enterprise, Functional and Applications architecture;Project Management and delivery on time and within scope, budget and quality;C-Level Stakeholders Management;Documentation and execution of projects requirements, scope analysis and test plans;Knowledge of modeling tool (ex. Visio) and artifacts UML, XSD, WDSL;Business Transformation and related IT Challenges;Negotiation skills;Business knowledgeCross functional knowledge: IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Sales, Claims, etc.Insurance business: P&C, L&S, EB;Insurance Solutions;Basic understanding of market practices/business processesUnderstanding of GCC regulatory challenges, including compliance, data privacy and residency.Essential:1. Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems2. Total 10+ years of experience 5+ years of experience in IT Architecture areas3. Relevant similar experience4. Strong understanding of IT technology, IT Data and Cloud concepts5. Ability to influence strategic decisions through conviction and promotion6. Strong leadership with a proven ability to communicate to senior executives while leading projects on the field7. Strong knowledge in EAI, SOA, Web, CRM, Document management, BI, ETL, EIP, Data bases, Big Data, …8. Excellent English writing, editing and communication skills- Ability to clearly articulate and communicate ideas for the company Gulf business as well as technical teams- Ability to present to medium to large audiences and to lead focus groups and round table discussions9.
