About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Waiter/ess to join the Food & Beverage team of Madinat Jumeirah Resort. We are currently seeking a Senior Fire Engineer for our growing fire team in our Dubai - Office. Dubai - is the leading commercial and cultural hub in the Middle East. Dubai - and surrounding regions attract some of the world’s most innovative projects such as super high-rise buildings, the largest shopping malls in the world to the development of manmade islands. The region has attracted the World Expo 2020, the Qatar World Cup 2022 and is developing as a major transportation hub which will help ensure many more exciting projects over the next few years. The role will involve interactive and collaborative working with our fire engineers and other disciplines both within Arup and externally. The role may involve the requirement for short-term travel. The projects will be diverse, exciting and range from conceptual fire strategy developing through to handing over landmark projects in the built environment. Our Fire Engineering team takes a particularly active role in the development of staff and routinely provides the opportunity for staff to attend the necessary training and development courses. Also, due to the developing nature of fire engineering, our engineers are encouraged to attend appropriate annual fire engineering conferences and CPD events. Once the candidate has demonstrated a suitable skill in fire engineering and delivery of projects there will be a number of opportunities to advance their career within Arup. Requirements: We are looking for someone who is technically excellent and capable of delivering quality fire safety solutions on time and on budget. A proven track record of gaining agreement for prescriptive and performance based design solutions from approving authorities is essential. As a senior member of our fire team, you will have strong meeting and negotiating skills and experience of leading projects. You will be a team player capable of imparting knowledge and experience to other members of the team. Experience in the principles of smoke control and means of escape are essential and knowledge of the various design codes, standards and guidance associated with the industry is also important. You should possess the following base education, experience, skills and competencies: Degree in fire engineering or equivalent; Typically 7+ years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment; Chartered Engineer or in process and approaching Chartered Engineer status; Understand and be able to implement fire engineering solutions on projects; Be familiar with international codes and design standards such as the International Building Code and NFPA; Clearly understand the total fire concept: from the client brief through to construction and operation; Manage others in developing and implementation of fire strategies, projects, and research initiatives; Excellent report writing and communication skills, be collaborative, be creative and engaging; Manage financial performance on projects; Responsible for fee proposals and establishing a network of clients/ colleagues in Arup, and outside Arup; Understand and manage the scope and relevant programme constraints of projects; and Experience on site and handover of complex projects. QA Automation Engineer - TribalScale-Dubai
Dubai -Implementing various automation projects spanned across multiple technology platforms. Analyze current suite of applications to identify opportunities for automation design, development and maintenance. Recommend standards with respect to tools, framework, scripting and versioning techniques for automation. Lead automation test case design and code coverage reviews. Automate the functional, regression, and sanity test cases. Contribute to building a robust regression suite based on a solid automation framework. Work with other QA team members in creating and automating reusable business-level tests that are easy to maintain even when underlying feature changes. Work closely with the engineering team to understand new features to automate their testing in multiple platforms. Raise the quality of the product by providing complete, quick, reliable, and easy to interpret script results and dashboard reports. Help build and maintain automation lab onsite. Work with tool vendors in troubleshooting compatibility issues. Provide weekly status, work estimates and forecasts to the Product Managers and Engineering Leads Participate in manual testing on an as-needed basis Integrate automation testing into CI to improve tests execution pipelines with the team and release process. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 strong years of experience in the design and development of automation frameworks and test strategies for web backend and mobile projects.
